Nepal is open to tourists!

Just as we prepare to leave on our first trek for two years to the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, the Nepal government announces the removal of quarantine requirements for foreign tourists and re-instates visa on arrival in a clear sign Nepal is welcoming back visitors just in time for the Autumn trekking season. Infection rates are low and vaccination rates rising as life in Nepal returns to normal.


After missing 3 trekking seasons during the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism industry in Nepal has suffered hugely, with livelihoods of guides, porters, hotel owners and many others destroyed. It is therefore great news that some of the major obstacles to foreign trekkers returning to Nepal have been removed.


Our first trek of the season leaves on Sunday to reach Kanchenjunga North and South Base camps. See our route below:
